Warning: Emails and website misusing the name and details of Clearview Solicitors Limited

A website is operating at 'www.clearview-solicitors-limited.net' and emails have been sent misusing the name of Clearview Solicitors Limited and purporting to be from employees of the firm.
What is the scam?
The SRA has been informed that a bogus website is operating at 'www.clearview-solicitors-limited.net' and is misusing the name of a genuine firm of solicitors (please see genuine details below).
The bogus website lists a number of individuals and claims that they are 'Lawyers' or 'Senior Lawyers' working at the firm. The individuals named on the website as 'Lawyers' and 'Senior Lawyers' are:
- Andrew Strand
- Victor Zotman
- Hugo Brouwer
- Kristina Xilkalines
- Arthur Macallan
- Jasper Mocabb
The bogus website provides the email address 'info@clearview-solicitors-limited.net' and the phone numbers '+ 32 28 860 686' and '+ 44 (20) 38 073 770'. The bogus website also misuses the head office address of the genuine firm.
The SRA has also been informed that emails have been sent to members of the public falsely claiming to be from the genuine firm (details below). These emails misuse the name of the genuine firm and offer the recipients assistance in recovering 'lost funds'. The emails have been sent from the following email addresses:
- arthurmacallan@clearview-solicitors-limited.net
- andrewstrand@clearview-solicitors-limited.net
- smith2323445@gmail.com
One of the emails that has been seen by the SRA also provides the phone numbers '+ 37 254 827 360' and '+ 44 (20) 38 073 770' and the email address 'info@clearview-solicitors-limited.net'. A further email purports to be from an individual called 'Olivia Smith'.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate solicitors called Andrew Strand, Victor Zotman, Hugo Brouwer, Kristina Xilkalines, Arthur Macallan or Jasper Mocabb.
Any business or transactions through the website 'www.clearview-solicitors-limited.net', the email addresses, telephone numbers or individuals described above are not undertaken by an individual or a firm authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine firm of solicitors called Clearview Solicitors Limited. The genuine firm's head office address is 76 Drake Street, Rochdale, Lancashire, OL16 1PQ. Genuine emails from the firm use the email domain '@clearview-solicitors.com' and the firm's website address is 'www.clearview-solicitors.com'.
Clearview Solicitors Limited have confirmed that they have no connection to the website, email addresses, telephone numbers or individuals referred to in the above alert.
The SRA also authorises and regulates a number of solicitors called Olivia Smith who have confirmed that they have no connection to the details in the above alert.
What should I do?
When a firm's or individual's identity has been copied exactly (or cloned), due diligence is necessary. If you receive correspondence claiming to be from the above firm(s) or individual(s), or information of a similar nature to that described, you should conduct your own due diligence by checking the authenticity of the correspondence by contacting the law firm directly by reliable and established means. You can contact the SRA to find out if individuals or firms are regulated and authorised by the SRA and verify an individual's or firm's practising details. Other verification methods, such as checking public records (e.g. telephone directories and company records) may be required in other circumstances.
